The Guild of European Research-Intensive Universities

We are pleased to announce that Jean-Pierre Bourguignon, President of the European Research Council, has agreed to participate in the Guild’s General Assembly on 21 November in a discussion around the future of the ERC. Of particular interest will be the implications of BREXIT and of the Swiss experience of partial Association in Horizon 2020 for the ERC. A further topic of discussion will be the importance of fundamental research for universities across all parts of Europe.
