The Guild’s priorities for Horizon Europe’s Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Society cluster

The Guild’s priorities for Horizon Europe’s Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Society cluster

The Guild has published a document outlining priorities for the Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Society cluster. These priorities were formulated by the academic community of The Guild’s member universities and their faculties for Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities.

The aim is to provide a future-oriented outlook for three challenges affecting European societies in the coming decades, as well as to articulate how collaborative research could contribute to responding to them.

This publication marks the starting point for The Guild’s engagement with Horizon Europe’s Strategic Planning process and its priority-setting for the thematic clusters that will support challenge-based research and innovation related to the EU’s political priorities and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The three challenges and their respective research priorities focus on democratic resilience, societal needs and human resilience connected to technological change, and the democratization of language and culture. Each of these strategic priorities is presented from the perspective of the transformation they address, the impact that research and innovation can create and their potential for interdisciplinary, international collaboration and addressing aspects of gender and citizen engagement.
